Making Social Media Connections

November 2018

At Esso Exploration Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL), a priority is connecting with Guyanese to help them to understand our operations, who’s doing what, and how.

That’s why the official Instagram account ExxonMobil Guyana was launched in early August, providing Guyanese citizens with an additional source of information on ExxonMobil’s activities.

To get our first couple of thousand Instagram followers, a handful of employees spent an entire Saturday at Giftland Mall in Georgetown. Everyone had the chance to walk through the ‘ExxonMobil Guyana’ experience, which featured videos and photos of ExxonMobil operations, and also ask employees questions.

We now have over 7,000 followers on Instagram to add to more than 125,000 followers recently achieved on the ExxonMobil Guyana Facebook page.
