Saipem continues to move forward with its construction and fabrication work for the risers and flowlines for Liza Phase 2. Thermal insulation coating of the production flowlines has commenced at Shawcor’s insulation plant in Veracruz, Mexico.
Linepipe manufacturing at Sumitomo in Japan is now about 75 percent complete. Production of the buoyancy foam modules, pipe bends and VIV strakes is ongoing.

Structures fabrication at Gulf Island
Fabrication of the flowline and pipeline termination structures has commenced at Gulf Island Services in Houma, Louisiana.
Structural fabrication continues ahead of plan, while preparations for piping fabrication for the structures continues.
All the basket castings for the flex joint receptacles have now either been delivered or are in the final manufacturing stages. Ten of the castings have been delivered to Oil States Industries (OSI) in Houma, Louisiana, with the remaining four to be delivered by the end of July. The first two receptacles have completed their final welding and dimensional testing. OSI is now focused on completing the factory acceptance testing (FAT) and shipping of the first receptacles to SBM shipyard in Singapore. Meanwhile, procurement activities for the major forgings for the flex joints continues in Europe.
