Management Address Jan 2017
January 2017
Gina Dickerson
Liza Phase 1 Senior Project Manager
Welcome to the Liza Project Team!
I am pleased to have you working on this history making project – the first oil & gas development in Guyana.
Achieving our vision of “One Team Delivering – Onstream in 2019” will take each and every one of us working together to deliver pacesetting performance in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Execution.
We are going to be the “Foundation for the Future” of deep water developments and the beginning of a new industry for Guyana. Future project teams will look to leverage our successes and learn from our experience, from the pioneering new ways of working, to the benchmarks we are setting. I hope you are as proud as I am to be working on this project, a great team of great companies with great people. Each team member, regardless of his or her role, contributes to the success of the project. The Liza Phase 1 Project has people currently working all over the world, in more than 25 major site locations, across 12 countries. Our team is growing and expanding rapidly as we move further into execution. Some of the most recent accomplishments are highlighted in this first edition of the Liza Phase 1 Project Team Newsletter and we should all share in that progress as we move closer to first oil in 2019.
Our most important goal is for you to work safely so that you return home to your family better every day than when you left – knowing that you are making a difference and contributing to a world-class project.
Safety drives project success and is at the forefront of everything we do – safety for each team member and for the environment. Neither can be compromised for schedule or cost.
I hope you enjoy reading about the tanker Tina arriving in the Keppel shipyard, to begin its transformation into the FPSO Liza Destiny and seeing the start of the 10,000 psi trees being built in Brazil.
I am looking forward to our journey over the next 2 years and celebrating what we will accomplish!
