During October, the Saipem Constellation vessel completed the installation and hookup of the main static and dynamic umbilicals for Liza Phase 1. The umbilicals were tested as necessary and final checks performed in preparation for First Oil. The subsea and umbilicals portion of the Liza Phase 1 project required for First Oil is now complete, and the team has transitioned into start-up support with the ExxonMobil and SBM Operations teams. A subsea commissioning team comprised of personnel from ExxonMobil, ENGlobal, and W-Industries mobilized to the Destiny FPSO several times to assist with the hookup and commissioning of the subsea controls systems. Collaboration and flexibility amongst ExxonMobil, TechnipFMC, Saipem, and others during 4Q19 allowed the team to align in support of critical path activities to ensure First Oil readiness.
Another key milestone was achieved in December when TechnipFMC completed the assembly and testing of the 17th and final subsea tree for Liza Phase 1 at the TechnipFMC Rio de Janeiro facility. The final five subsea trees are in storage in Brazil and awaiting transport to the Trinidad shorebase in 1Q20.
