Engineering and manufacturing at project supplier TechnipFMC (EPC2) is on track to deliver the subsea equipment for Liza Phase 1 Project.
TechnipFMC is fabricating 17 enhanced, vertical deep water ‘Christmas trees’, the necessary tooling, five manifolds and associated controls and tie-in equipment.
The first two tree systems are almost complete and due to arrive in time to meet the drilling campaign in Guyana later this year.
TechnipFMC has already completed many tasks with no recordable incidents, including:
– Completing the machining activities for all major valve blocks for Christmas tree 1
– Completing injection manifold valve block machining
– Commencement of structural welding activities for injection manifolds
– Completed and tested the first two subsea control modules
In addition, activity at TechnipFMC’s umbilical facility in Channel view continues to ramp up. The majority of materials required for the umbilicals have been received at site. Production has commenced for the infield injection umbilicals, and the layup and extrusion of the steel flying lead bundle was completed safely.
Engineering of ExxonMobil’s first Steel Lazy Wave Risers is well underway. Flowlines and structures engineering along with installation engineering is on a similar trajectory.
Procurement of approximately 70 km of linepipe is nearly complete and the first several shipments have been received at the coating yard in Channelview, Texas. Coating will take place in both Channelview and Veracruz facilities.
In addition, Saipem has placed orders for structure fabrication as well as supply of buoyancy modules, strakes, and other items.
