Local content development is a vital part of the commitment to Guyana. TechnipFMC (TFMC), ExxonMobil’s prime contractor for the manufacturing and installation of subsea equipment, broke ground on its new office in Georgetown, Guyana in February. A video from the groundbreaking is available on the ExxonMobil Guyana Facebook page. The office will initially support the second phase of the Liza project and future projects.
Since 2016, TFMC has been active in Guyana and has demonstrated its commitment to local content development by hiring and training 27 Guyanese employees. This training involves a 12- to 18-month apprentice program before transitioning into operation teams that support ExxonMobil project-related activities offshore Guyana.
